Inspired by these perfectly imperfect moments, we created a liqueur that captures the very essence of a traditional Christmas pudding. Every year, our distillery turns into a full-blown dessert workshop. Strawberries, kiwi fruit, vanilla beans, brown sugar, liquorice root, cream, and passionfruit are macerated, mixed, and lovingly vapour-infused with juniper, meringue kisses, and dehydrated strawberries. No shortcuts. No artificial nonsense. Just a heap of hard work and a little Christmas chaos.
The result? A gin that tastes like nostalgia — summer fruit, whipped cream, and family tradition (minus the awkward small talk and Uncle Garry’s snoring). This isn’t a novelty release. It’s a Granddad Jack’s ritual, seven years running, made properly, poured proudly, and gone faster than the last slice of dessert. Granddad Jack’s Craft Distillery proudly presents Utage Gin, a limited release inspired by the Japanese word for “feast” or “banquet.”
Crafted to celebrate connection, gratitude, and the art of gathering around the table, this unique gin balances bold wasabi warmth, savoury sesame, bright citrus zest, and the mellow depth of genmaicha green tea. Macerated with yukari, wasabi powder, white sesame seeds, and genmaicha before being vapour infused with juniper, lemon, grapefruit peel, and more green tea, it was carefully reduced to 46% ABV to capture its bold yet refined flavour.
Utage Gin honours the unwavering support of our Japanese distributor and pays homage to Japan’s refined flavours. It’s a spirit that invites you to raise a glass, share a meal, and enjoy a moment of connection.

At Granddad Jack’s, we strive to create spirits that celebrate culture, craftsmanship, and connection. For this release, we macerated our neutral spirit with yukari, wasabi powder, sesame seeds, and genmaicha tea, then vapour infused it with juniper, citrus peels, and more green tea. Finally, we reduced it to 46% ABV to showcase the balance of bold flavour and smooth drinkability.

Granddad Jack's Craft Distillery and Crafted Beer Festival proudly present their annual festival exclusive: Limecello Gin.
Our citrus-forward take on the traditional Limoncello, this zesty gin is crafted with fresh lime peel, lime juice, native lemon myrtle, juniper, and a cheeky dose of Mr Kipling’s Lemon Bakewell Pie, distilled in for a light, pastry-like finish.
Vibrant, smooth, and full of citrus charm, this limited release was made for the sunny, high-energy vibes of the Crafted Beer Festival.

Bursting with citrus notes and a subtle sweetness, it's perfect for the energetic festival setting, making it a must-try for festival-goers.

Tasting Notes:Nose: Bright, zesty, sweet viscous, fresh, fragrant, and jammy citrus.
Palate: Creamy & jammy mouth coating citrus, followed by a zesty, verdant, citrusy aftertaste and a slightly piquant finishing on the roof of your palate and throat. A great take on a Limoncello but with a lime base and in a gin form.
Limecello's flavour is elevated by lime peel, lime juice, native lemon myrtle, juniper, and even Mr Kipling's Lemon Bakewell Pie, distilled into the batch for a light pastry note.

Production: At Granddad Jack's, we strive for difference in flavour and a unique twist in the way we make spirits. For this release we not only used lime in the traditional sense but crafted a sprit that included a native lemon myrtle and even some lemon pie which was distilled into the batch for a light pastry note. We doubled down on the lime in our syrup for reducing this batch into a sensational Cello.
How to Enjoy: Best enjoyed over ice or topped with lemonade for a refreshing twist. Our Limecello shines brightest when you keep it simple and let the zesty lime do the talking. Introducing Berry Good Blackberry and Mulberry Liqueur. This Crème de Mûre is our newest limited release and quite possibly your new guilty pleasure.
Crafted with ripe mulberries and blackberries, blended into a deep syrup, softened with coconut vodka, and rounded with Witches Falls Syrah, this liqueur offers layers of sweet red fruit, creamy coconut, and a port-like richness that lingers beautifully.
Think velvety, fruit-forward, and unapologetically decadent. Best enjoyed over ice, with lemonade, tonic or ginger ale. Our Berry Good Liqueur is best when you let the liqueur be the hero. You can also make one our recipes including a apple sour, or a jug to share (if you want to)!
