Some releases are built in a lab. This one was built around a jar of chilli jam and a group of close friends.

It started with a homemade batch of Birds Eye chilli jam that made the rounds through our crew. Sweet, sharp, addictive. The kind of thing you sneak into everything from breakfast to bar snacks. The kind of heat that lingers just long enough to make you go back for more.

When Granddad’s asked for ideas for my staff release, there was only one direction to go. Something versatile. Something warming. Something that could sit proudly on a table between mates and quietly steal the show.

That friend who made the jam? She shares the same last name as me.

TASTING NOTES

Nose
A velvety strawberry glides in first, wrapped in bright lime zest and a flicker of chilli heat. Vanilla hums softly in the background, smooth and composed.

Palate
Zesty, crisp lemon and lime lead the charge, chased by a ginger-like bite and the earthy warmth of native pepperberry. Sweet strawberry and sultry vanilla settle in, before mango and coconut roll through with a tropical richness.

Finish
Lingering warmth. A gentle heat that builds rather than burns. Sweet meets spice, and neither backs down.
