Tasting Notes

Style: Gin Liqueur  |  ABV: 37.5%  |  Size: 500 ml  |  Standard Drinks: 15  |  Batch: No. 3

Limited Release: Limoncello, but with lime... and a gin.

Granddad Jack's Distillery and Crafted Festival proudly present their annual festival exclusive: Limecello Gin, back for its third year as Crafted turns ten.

This citrus-forward take on the traditional Limoncello, is a zesty gin crafted with fresh lime peel, lime juice, native lemon myrtle, juniper, and a cheeky dose of Mr Kipling’s Lemon Bakewell Pie, distilled in for a light, pastry-like finish.

Sold out in three weeks last year. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for another year.

Made for the festival

Vibrant, smooth, and full of citrus charm, this limited release was made for the sunny, high-energy vibes of the Crafted Festival. You’ll only find it here, at the distillery, or poured at Crafted Festival, Kurrawa Park on Saturday 12 September, so don’t miss your chance to sip this one-of-a-kind celebration of flavour, festival fun, and fine local craftsmanship.

At Granddad Jack’s, we strive for difference in flavour and a unique twist in the way we make spirits. For this release we not only used lime in the traditional sense but crafted a spirit that includes native lemon myrtle and even some lemon pie, distilled into the batch for a light pastry note. We doubled down on the lime in our syrup when reducing this batch into a sensational Cello.

What it tastes like

Nose
Bright, zesty, sweet, fresh, fragrant, and jammy citrus.
Palate
Creamy and jammy mouth-coating citrus, followed by a zesty, verdant, citrusy aftertaste and a slightly piquant finish on the roof of your palate and throat. A great take on a Limoncello, but with a lime base and in a gin form.
Ingredients
Lime Peel, Lime Juice, Lemon Myrtle, Juniper, Mr Kipling Lemon Bakewell Pie, Citric Acid, Sugar

How to enjoy it

The Simple Pour. Over ice, topped with Fever-Tree Lime & Yuzu soda and a dehydrated lime wheel. Our Limecello shines brightest when you keep it simple and let the zesty lime do the talking. Start here.

The Crafted Margarita. The one pouring on tap at the festival: Limecello, fresh lime and agave, shaken hard, salt rim.

Tropic Like It’s Hot. Our new mango and hot honey jug for four, topped with soda (if you’re feeling generous).

Every bottle comes with the recipe card. All recipes can be found here: Limecello Recipes: the Simple Pour, Smashing into Spring, the Crafted Margarita & the Tropic Like It’s Hot jug

Sip, Shake and Share with Granddad Jack’s Limecello Gin.

Where to find it

Online here, at the Distillery Door (45 Lemana Lane, Miami, Gold Coast), and poured live at Crafted Festival, Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach on Saturday 12 September.

Every 500ml purchase includes the bottle (Batch No. 3), 2 coasters, a recipe card, and a thank you card.

If it sold out last year before you could get your hands on it, this is your chance to secure a bottle before it’s gone for another year.

Find us at the festival. We’ll be the loud ones.

Elevate the Experience

A good spirit is only half the story; the other half is how you serve it. Granddad Jack knew that the little details make all the difference, and that's the spirit behind this collection. These aren't just mixers and garnishes; they're the finishing touches that turn a good drink into a great one.
