Sometimes in the process of producing our other spirits we are left with excess ingredients and search hard to find ways of using them. On this occasion, the idea came easy! With balmy summer days already teasing us and boxfuls of excess Ruby Grapefruits before us, our production team’s thoughts went to dreaming up a refreshing, citrus-forward, grapefruit based sweet liqueur and bam! Here it is...Granddad Jack’s Rubycello! A carefully crafted blend of deliciously bitter Ruby Grapefruit juice and its zesty peel soaked in our super-crisp Penny Vodka for two weeks before finishing it into this delightfully sweet tipple. Sip it straight over ice, enjoy with soda or as a sweet little touch in a spritz (think champagne or prosecco). Pool, beach or palm trees is optional!
Note: This liqueur is super dense in tasty citrus oils from the peel, which can sometimes separate into little flavour droplets that float in the spirit. Give the bottle a good shake before pouring to recombine the goodness.
